About the Program

The private schools’ scholarship program aims to support the schools and at-risk students by providing a 50% scholarship for the students to pay their US dollars tuition fees. 

The financial crisis had its toll on Lebanese students too, many students are at risk of losing their education because their families cannot afford private school tuition fees anymore especially that a part of the schools’ tuition fees are now collected in US Dollars

Given this situation, the Lebanese Association for Scientific Research launched this scholarship targeting private schools’ students and pledging to cover 50% of the tuition fees that are paid in US Dollars, while the parents of the student cover the remaining amount.

Objective:

The main goal of the program is to support the educational sector by helping schools overcome the current situation and by providing better working environments for both students and teachers to prevent school dropouts. LASeR aims to be able to cover the biggest number of schools and students possible. 

How does the program work?

The scholarship program is divided into two big steps, the first one 50% scholarship, on the US Dollars part of the tuition fees, granted by LASeR to the accepted students. The second step is the payment of the rest of the fees by the parents

Program timeline

  1. The student has successfully applies for the scholarship
  2. Profiling and Studying applications
  3. Selecting applications that meet the selection criteria
  4. Communicate with accepted student to inform them of the result.

Results so far

The program has covered up to 17 schools so far with a total number of 3700 students benefiting from the zero-interest loans offered by LASeR
