About the Scholarship

This program is an exclusive opportunity for applicants from all over Lebanon to pursue their Master’s Degree at the American University of Beirut – AUB.

Once accepted in the scholarship, LASeR will fund 50% of the tuition fees, while still covering the remaining 50% as a zero-interest loan paid directly on behalf of the student to the university and collected as monthly installments, agreed upon with the applicant.

This specific scholarship falls under the City Fund Scholarship, a program by LASeR that offers students better quality education opportunities through scholarships and loans.

Interested applicants should apply to both LASeR and the AUB and get accepted by both organizations

Eligibility and selection criteria for scholarship students

  • Resident in Lebanon of any nationality ( Lebanese , Syrian and Palestinian… )
  • Good academic standing in undergraduate degree (B+ or 14/20 for Lebanese University students)
  • New students to AUB ( not an already enrolled masters student )  
  • Commitment to attend all the additional learning experiences and workshops required by this program
  • The financial ability to pay the monthly installments of the loan agreed upon

No, the scholarship does not cover online MBA Programs

Please note that you have to be accepted by AUB and LASeR to get the scholarhsip! After successfully applying, you will be invited by our team for an interview (Online) . The results of the interview will determine whether you get the scholarship or not. Our team will call all applicants by the end of March to tell them the results. In addition, the results will be added to the account that you create on connected.laser-lb.org 

To be accepted in LASeR no, applicants don’t take any tests, they just undergo an interview and the results determine whether they get the scholarship or not. However you will have to undergo tests to be accepted in AUB. 

Adding the scholarship to other scholarships is not possible in most cases. The agreement with the university doesn’t give you this option. However, in case the university allows you to add another scholarship to our program we definitely allow it.

The repayment of the interest free loan is immediate. This means that once you get the scholarship, you will start repaying the interest-free loan the following month.

Payments are given to LASeR and not to the university. You can pay your fees in the association or at the bank.
